There are a lot of useful resources in space – and entrepreneurs are going to be exploring them soon. RAS Meeting organisers Ian Crawford, Martin Elvis and James Carpenter draw together some new ideas in their A&G article.

Space exploration is increasingly expensive, but the exploration that we have undertaken is showing that there are resources out there that technology is making increasingly accessible.  In a report on their RAS Specialist Discussion Meeting, Ian Crawford, Martin Elvis and James Carpenter outline ways in which a new space economy based on the resources available on the Moon and asteroids could support and enhance solar system science and even astronomy.
